Background
A major telecom company needed a better overview of data from multiple sources. Scattered information flows created inefficiency and made it difficult to support the business’s growing need for reliable data.
Challenge
The task was to develop a search engine that collects data from multiple independent sources and presents a consolidated information picture for users and internal systems. The solution needed to be scalable, stable and prepared for continued expansion with more data sources and functions.
Solution
The work was carried out by the customer’s development team with a focus on backend development and a microservice-based architecture. It included services, databases, APIs and a customised interface. Delivery was agile, with continuous releases and close dialogue with internal stakeholders. In parallel, a side assignment was carried out where new services and databases were set up to get a separate internal project back on track.
Resultat
The search engine is now in production and is used both directly by users and as a data source for other internal systems. It provides fast, consolidated access to data from multiple independent sources and creates a stable foundation for further development. The side assignment also enabled the other project to resume development without delays.
