1. Can you briefly describe your role at Frontwalker?

I am a computer engineer from KTH with 27 years in the industry. I run projects with our customers, where I am happy to take the lead on most things, from requirements specification and project management to architecture and development. I also work with management and enjoy problem solving. Over the past year, I have been part of a small team that has built two successful systems for one of our clients in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js) hosted in Google Cloud.

2. What do you appreciate most about working as a consultant?

What I appreciate most is the variety and the opportunity to solve real problems together with the client. I like to quickly familiarise myself with new domains and help the client to specify their needs – not only from a technical perspective, but also from a business perspective. Being able to contribute all the way from idea, through architecture and interface design, to functioning systems in production gives me energy. I enjoy the role where I get to combine technical skills with communication and consulting.

3. Why did you choose Frontwalker — and what makes you enjoy working there and stay on?

I chose Frontwalker because it is a consulting company with a high level of technical expertise, a great deal of freedom and a healthy approach to both assignments and work-life balance. I appreciate the opportunity to influence the types of assignments I take on, and there is a strong network of competent colleagues to bounce ideas off when needed. There is also a genuine sense of care in the culture – it is a workplace where you can both develop and feel secure.

1. Can you briefly describe your role at Frontwalker?

I work as a product owner and requirements analyst for a government agency. I have been the product owner for developing situation reports for healthcare operations queues during the spring for the national healthcare agency. And now I'm working on requirements analysis for an EU assignment that involves enabling data to be shared across different countries within healthcare. It involves both analysis and interviews at an early stage, and we work iteratively.

2. What do you appreciate most about working as a consultant?

I appreciate most being able to take part in different activities, learn new things, use my experience in new assignments, and work with a team to concretise and understand needs so that we can develop something that benefits the customer and people. And then there are my colleagues at work, who are great. Being a consultant means continuing to be curious about learning new things, sharing your knowledge with others and working in a goal-oriented way.

3. Why did you choose Frontwalker — and what makes you enjoy working there and stay on?

I started at Frontwalker because it is a medium-sized, pleasant company with good management. The Stockholm office where I started had a super-nice female CEO who I felt could become my colleague and boss. The group still has a female CEO in Sweden, which I appreciate after many years in the IT consulting industry. I enjoy working as a consultant and learning about new businesses, utilising my experience from different industries. Frontwalker has pleasant colleagues and a good atmosphere in the office. I like that we are a mix of younger and older colleagues.

1. Can you briefly describe your role at Frontwalker?

I am a senior enterprise and solution architect. My job is to help large organisations see the big picture and develop sustainable, long-term IT strategies. I am currently completing an assignment as an enterprise architect in the public sector and will soon be starting a similar strategic role at another large organisation.

2. What do you appreciate most about working as a consultant?

I appreciate the variety and getting to solve real problems for different clients. It gives me energy to quickly familiarise myself with new businesses and contribute my experience. For me, the consulting role is a way to stay curious and constantly develop. In the future, I would like to combine my experience as an architect with two areas I am particularly passionate about: reconnecting with my PhD in medical image analysis and working with applied AI and machine learning. I like to stay hands-on with technology in order to understand it in depth – and because it's a lot of fun.

3. Why did you choose Frontwalker — and what makes you enjoy working there and stay on?

I applied to Frontwalker for two reasons: their focus on Life Science, an industry I have longed to return to, and their roots in “IT architects”, which signalled a deep understanding of my core competence. What makes me stay and enjoy working here is the friendly atmosphere and my skilled colleagues. There is genuine consideration in the culture and a great deal of freedom under responsibility, which creates a safe and stimulating workplace.
